After 2 years of running kite festivals, community kite days and a stall at the Nelson Saturday Arts and Craft Market, we opened a full-time shop. After almost 13 years in a retail shop, we've now shifted home. At the end of April 2005, we closed the shop in town and moved everything here....right on the edge of Neale

He has left a huge empty space in the sky and will be missed by so many in the kite world.
On behalf of all of us at PLK.NZ, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone around the world for the incredible love and support youâve shown us and Peterâs family at this sad time.
Your emails and photos, phone calls, and visits, along with your kind words and condolences, have meant more to us than we can truly express.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our kite mentor, and more importantly, our dear friend, Peter.
The factory isnât the same without the chats we shared with you, Peter.
Kite festivals will all share the loss of you not being there, there will always be a great big empty space in the sky, where you once flew.
Your presence, your wisdom, and your passion will be missed every single day.
We will carry your spirit with us in every kite we fly. Wherever you are, we hope youâre soaring high, flying kites, and watching over us.
To everyone in our World, we hope that when you fly a kite you can think of Peter and all the good times you had.

Go see Ted the kiteman at the market today. Say hi, buy something because he won't be there next Sat. He'll be at the Otaki kite festival. Henna the pusscat in the photo crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday. She was 18 1/2 yrs old. Be at peace Henna.
