Save the DATE 10th September 2026
We invite all Kartsport Nelson members to come along as we will be hosting this years AGM at 7pm in the clubrooms.
Have your say in the direction that you want the club to go in and vote on your committee team for the next 12 months.
Nomination forms, and Acceptance forms can we found here https://www.kartsportnelson.co.nz/viewform/525575
which need to be filled out and signed before the 3rd of September.
We would like to take this opportunity to THANK the current Kartsport Nelson Committee for all of your hard work and time for the club.
We are seeking a new secretary for the new term as our current Vice President (who is doing a great job) has landed a double role and we would love to lighten his load.
Remember we are all volunteers on this team so the more jobs we can share around the club the better, so if you or you know of someone that would love to help and see the club move forward we would love to hear from you.

Important! Date Change, Double Header...
We wanted to get this information out as soon as possible but due to the Kartsport New Zealand conference falling on the same weekend as our Memorial Night Meeting which was planned for the 15th of August we have had to make the tough decision to postpone this meeting to the 12th of September.
Although we recognize and appreciate that September is already a very busy month for our karting family with the Southern Series and Garden Cities on, there was a few key factors that help make our decision.
If we were to keep it on the original date set in August we either wouldn't of had anyone available to represent our club at the Kartsport NZ conference or we would of lost some key personnel that help out with the running of our race meetings. We also factored in that being a night meeting it will be slightly warmer but still dark enough to be running a night meeting.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may of cause but we are excited to be running this double header weekend and hope you are able to make.

Just wow! The strength and vibe of our club members and non members is just amazing at the moment, and today's working bee was evidence of that.
We had around 30 people show up today and just got stuck in and achieved everything we had planned to do and then some more.
It was great to see everyone working as a team and enjoying themselves. Thanks to everyone involved, your efforts are much appreciated.
We are looking forward to having you back next weekend for our club day next Sunday.

The jobs that need ticking off include -

π§ Repairing top rail of fencing at turn 1.
π§ Water blasting toilet block and getting it ready for painting.

π§ Closing in behind flag point 5/6
π§ Removing concrete behind kerb at turn 1
π§ Level out ground by the septic tank outside stewards room.
π§ Toilet Roll and Hand Towel holders need installing in ladies toilet.
π§ Nails in clubrooms deck need hitting down.
π§ Dig two post holes along roadside fence.
π§ Cut down old metal frames for scrapping.
π§ Emptying rubbish bins and other smaller jobs that will be added to this list.
Please bring tools that may be useful with the jobs above. We need members to bring the following (If possible)
π οΈ Chainsaw

π οΈ Impact Gun (with square drive / allenkey / socket fittings)
π οΈ Shovels, Spade and Rake
π οΈ Sledge Hammers
