Our New Beginner & Primary ballet classes offer an enchanting introduction to the world of ballet:
New Beginners (aged 4 1/2 to 5 years) Saturdays 10.00am - 10.30am
Fee $120.00 nine lessons per term, call 5432559 to enrol. Primary (aged 5-6 years) Saturday 10.45am - 11.30am
Fee $145.00 nine lessons per term, call to enrol. Students aged 6 and above wanting to join us from other Studios, are invit

This Sunday the 22nd of September, Ballet Nelson and Nelson Symphony Orchestra will be performing at the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts 3pm!
We are beyond excited to be apart of this amazing opportunity to perform along side Nelson’s very own live orchestra. This is a family matinee performance so suitable everyone of all ages! 🩰🎻

Sir Jon Trimmer
On the premiere of RNZBs Hansel and Gretel we said good bye to the biggest icon in New Zealand ballet history.
Sir Jon Trimmer 18th Sept 1939- 26th Oct 2023 and dedicated 50 years to the company!
Jonty (as we knew him) has graced his presence in many shows at both the Suter Theatre and the Theatre Royal Nelson with Louise Hawke at the Academy of Ballet Arts here in Nelson performing in “Alice”, “Tchaikovsky”, “Dancers from the Ballet Russe”, “Aurora’s Wedding” and others all produced and directed my Louise Hawke.
Such a kind soul who was always a shining presence where ever he was. An inspiration to ballet as an art, Jonty not only an incredible dancer but a true artist and loved passing on his knowledge to other dancers.
“I have to contribute a huge part of my career to Jonty, we taught me so much about the presence on stage, using music to create the mood and character of a role. Dancing with Jonty at RNZB and the Academy of Ballet arts for many year was a privilege I will never forget!” Adriana Harper
