Morena I te whanau 🌞

Beautiful day out there to get some packing and some washing done!

One of the questions we’ve been asked the most over the last day is…

“Why and Where are you moving?”

The answer is actually pretty simple.

After nearly 10 years of Full Time tattooing, we’ve made the decision to create a lifestyle that’s a little more balanced and sustainable.

As part of that journey, Judge has accepted the opportunity to join our iwi in a full-time leadership role in Murupara.

It’s something we’re incredibly proud of and an opportunity that allows us to build a stronger future for our family while staying connected to our people and our whenua.

It doesn’t mean it’s the end of Judge MyInk. We will continuing to Tattoo.

The difference is that Judge will now be releasing a limited number of larger project appointments throughout the year, allowing us to keep creating meaningful work while also building a healthier rhythm for our whānau.

It feels like the right balance for this next season of life.

We’ll keep sharing more as everything comes together, but today we simply wanted to share a little more about the “why” behind our decision.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. 💜

Morena whānau ⛅️

Late last year we shared that our little whānau would be moving 🚛

As life sometimes does, our plans changed and the move was put on hold while we worked through a few things. Now that everything has fallen into place, it’s time to let everyone know that the move is officially happening 📆

Our final day tattooing from our Kawerau studio will be Sunday, 2 August 2026.

After nearly 20 years of tattooing, and close to 10 years full-time here in Kawerau, it’s time for the next chapter for our whānau 🌄

Over the coming days we’ll share more about what this next chapter looks like, how tattoo bookings will work moving forward, and what you can expect from Judge MyInk ✨

One thing we do want to make clear today is Judge MyInk isn’t stopping We’re relocating. 🗺️

We’ll still be tattooing, although things will look a little different as we settle into a new way of working. Our trading hours will change, we’ll be working from a new location, and we’ll share those details once everything is confirmed over the coming weeks. 🤹

For our current clients, voucher holders and anyone with an unfinished project—please don’t worry ✍️

Your bookings, vouchers and ongoing projects remain important to us. We’ll continue working with you, and once our new studio is ready we’ll contact you with everything you need to know, including our new location and how your future appointments will work.👌

We also have a small amount of project availability remaining before we finish here in Kawerau If you’ve been thinking about getting a larger piece, continuing an existing project, or getting some ink before we leave, send us a message with your idea, placement and approximate size. If it suits the time we have left, we’d love to fit you in before we head off.😁

To every single person who has walked through our studio doors over the years, trusted us with your stories, supported our small business, shared a laugh, or worn our artwork with pride—ngā mihi tino nui ki a koutou katoa.🙌

Your support has meant more than you’ll probably ever know🥰

Judge MyInk has never just been about tattoos. It’s always been about the people, the stories, and the trust you’ve placed in us. We feel incredibly privileged to have been part of so many meaningful moments in people’s lives, and we don’t take that trust for granted 👨‍🎨

We’re deeply grateful for the support our Kawerau and surrounding communities has shown us over the years, and we hope you’ll continue to follow our journey as we begin this next chapter 🫶

We’ll have plenty more to share over the coming days, but for now we simply wanted you to hear the news from us first 🥳

From our whānau to yours, thank you for being part of the Judge MyInk story. 💜

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but big pieces like these are not usually a “do a few small bits and blend it later” kind of job 🧐

Full sleeves, leg pieces, back pieces, and large black & grey work need a solid plan ✍️

The better question is not just “how much for a sleeve?” 👀

It’s “how do we build it so it actually flows?” 🗺️

That is why we’re opening a Winter Project Rate for approved larger, registered projects ❄️

3-hour half day sessions — $550
Normally $750 rrp
Save $200 per session 🔥

This is for people wanting to start or continue:

• full sleeves 💪
• large arm work 🖤
• leg pieces 🦵
• back pieces 🔥
• unfinished larger work 🧩
• custom black & grey projects 🎨

As a rough guide, full sleeves usually start around 4 half-day sessions, but every arm, leg, back, design, skin, and detail level is different 🗺️

Once your project is approved and registered, the Winter Project Rate stays with that agreed piece until it is complete 🧑‍🎨

To lock in the rate, there is a $250 project registration deposit — this comes off your first session ✅

The designs below are examples of the kind of large-scale projects this rate is designed for 🎨

If you’ve been sitting on a bigger idea, comment PROJECT below or message us with your idea, placement, rough size, and any reference photos 📸

Let’s get you wrapped this winter ❄️

Most of us spend years becoming who everyone else expects us to be.

A meaningful tattoo is different.

It’s intentional.

A reminder of who you are.

Where you’ve been.

Or who you’re becoming.

In a world full of opinions, expectations, and noise…

sometimes the ultimate act of sovereignty is choosing your own story.

IYKYK 👌

If your ready to mark the moment

Drop a Comment or send us a DM and let’s discuss your next piece to the suit🕴️

Bookings available by DM only.

Thursday - Sundays
10am - 4pm

I’ve always found it interesting how differently people see Medusa 🤔

Some see a monster.

Others see a survivor.

Some see strength.

Others see a warning.

Maybe that’s why her story has lasted so long.

Most of us know what it’s like to become something we never planned to be.

A hard shell.

A sharp tongue.

The need to stay in control.

The habit of keeping people at a distance.

One thought I’ve been sitting with lately:

The moment we stop reacting to life and start observing ourselves -

A choice appears 🤯

Keep repeating the same story OR start writing a new one ✍️

What Old Patterns have you been questioning lately? 🤔

“What’s a cousin?” 👵🫶

Lowkey… usually your first best friend.
First scrap.
First sleepover.
First person to know the family drama before you even did 😅

Around here, cousins are basically built like siblings anyway.

Different houses.
Shared chaos.
Same grandparents.
Same stories.
And laughs that somehow get louder every time everyone ends up back home together again 😜😂

But such is life right…

Some move away for mahi.
Some start families.
Some disappear off chasing dreams.💫

And if we’re being honest…

most of us are guilty of the classic—

“we should catch up soon.”🫣

But somehow it’s been five years already and everybody’s quietly surviving on the hope that no news is good news 😅

BUT every now and then a calling happens 🔔

Someone comes home.
A date gets locked in.
And somehow everyone finally lands back in the same place again.💕

And for a minute and a half…

it’s like time never moved.

Same jokes.
Same loud laughs.
Same cousin still acting like they run the whole whānau 😂. Just more kids now.
A few new stories. And a whole lot of good old ones 🥂👌

That’s what made this catch-up so cool to watch. A few cousins finally home together and intentionally made the moment and leaving with the best kind of souvenir 🎨

And I don’t know about you…

But Intentional Love is some of the best kind there is!

The cousin who organised this day for them all is missing from the video, but what a awesome day watching them all love on each other 🫶

Because moments like this really can make time feel like an illusion ⏰

Who was there.
Who laughed the loudest.
Who nearly backed out.
Who handled it the best 😅

Sometimes the tattoo is just the thing that marks the day everyone intentionally chose each other again.💜💙💚

The visual imprint of a connection y’all grew through together 💫💕🏆

Cousin date 2.0 anyone??? 😂

Might actually be time to add Cousin Day to the annual calendar 📆

Tag them cousins 🔖 Let them know you’re thinking of them too 🤍
