ATHLETE FACTORY SPEED & AGILITY CLINIC

Speed and agility are critical in every sport. The ability to accelerate quickly, change direction efficiently, and react under pressure is what creates separation, wins contests, and gives athletes an edge on the field or court.

At this clinic, athletes won’t just train...... they’ll be tested. Using top-of-the-line laser timing lights and force plates, we accurately measure speed, power, and change of direction ability. This allows us to identify strengths, highlight areas to improve, and track progress over time giving real insight, not guesswork.

Across this 2-day clinic, athletes will be coached through:

* Speed & agility specific warm-ups
* Running mechanics
* Acceleration & sprint technique
* Agility & change of direction
* Competitive games targeting key movement patterns

Every session is coached with a focus on improving movement quality, building confidence, and transferring these skills directly into sport.

Each athlete will also leave with a speed programme so they can continue improving beyond the clinic.

Location: The Athlete Factory Mount Maunganui
Cost: $100 per athlete (2 x 2-hour sessions) + take-home speed programme

When: April 16th & 17th (School Holidays)

Aspiring Rhythmic Gymnast sets sights on European Tour. 12/03/2026

We are very proud at The Athlete Factory of our association with Aspiring Rhythmic Gymnast, Polina Macfarlane.

Polina has qualified to represent New Zealand at a Senior International level (the highest level in gymnastics) in competitions in Belgium and Portugal in April.

She needs support to help her get there as with a lot of minority sports in NZ, representing her country at an international event is entirely self-funded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck Polina, we are sure you will do us all proud!

Aspiring Rhythmic Gymnast sets sights on European Tour. Fundraising to help a aspiring young rhythmic gymnast gain international competition experience, develop her skills & achieve her goals.
