The New Zealand harness racing community has lost one of its true stalwarts.

After nearly 75 years in the sport, Terry May leaves behind an extraordinary legacy as a trainer, driver, breeder and horseman, as well as a proud member of one of harness racing's great families.

Our thoughts are with Ricky, Judy and the entire May family at this difficult time.

A write up on today’s race meeting on HRNZ

Sarah O'Reilly with solid chances at Methven With four teams of three, each of the invited driver races provide an opportunity for a penalty free win for the winning horse’s connections. Representing the local Methven team are Leo, Gerard and Sarah O’Reilly, who look to have a strong book between them.

The day has arrived for our last race meeting of the season and it is set to be a cracking day of racing!
