Attention all women who would like a night out!
Eight years ago, after facing one of the biggest health battles of my life, I made a promise to myself.
I wanted to create opportunities to bring women together. A place where age, size, career, fitness level, or life circumstances didn’t matter. A place where women could feel supported, inspired, empowered, and reminded of just how incredible they truly are.
Life is busy. We spend so much time looking after everyone else that we often forget to look after ourselves.
THRIVE is so much more than just an event. It’s something I’m incredibly passionate about. It’s about women supporting women, learning from one another, sharing stories, building confidence, and walking away feeling stronger than when they arrived.
Whether you’re 20 or 70, a stay-at-home mum, a business owner, an athlete, or just someone needing a little inspiration, this evening is for YOU.
We are incredibly lucky to welcome two phenomenal women who will leave you feeling inspired, empowered, and ready to thrive.
Casey Kopua – One of New Zealand’s most respected sporting icons and widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders the world has ever seen.
Having had the privilege of getting to know Casey, I can honestly say she is one of the kindest, most humble women I have ever met. Despite everything she has achieved, she remains incredibly down-to-earth, genuine, and passionate about helping others.
Casey will share her journey through life as an elite athlete the incredible highs, the challenges, the sacrifices, and the pressure that come with competing at the highest level. She’ll talk about transitioning from international netball after finishing her Silver Ferns career as one of the greatest defenders in the world, balancing motherhood, family life, work, and everything that comes with juggling the many hats women wear every day. Her story is one of resilience, determination, leadership, and finding purpose beyond sport.
Dr Stacy Sims – An internationally renowned exercise physiologist and one of the world’s leading experts in female physiology.
One of my favourite sayings from Dr Stacy Sims is:
“Women are not small men.”
Those four words have completely changed the way women think about training, nutrition, recovery, hormones, and overall health.
Dr Stacy Sims is passionate about helping women understand how to train, fuel, recover, and thrive through every stage of life. Her evidence-based knowledge is changing the way women approach their health and wellbeing. Whether you’re in your 20s or your 70s, you’ll walk away with practical advice and a whole new understanding of your body that you can apply to your everyday life.
I think that quote is the perfect lead-in because it’s one of the messages Dr Stacy Sims is best known for. It immediately tells people they’re going to learn something that challenges outdated thinking and helps women understand that our bodies deserve to be trained and cared for differently—not simply treated like smaller versions of men’s
