We’ve got FOUR tickets to the NZ Warriors vs Manly Sea Eagles this Saturday at Go Media Stadium, the Warriors’ final home game of the regular season.

And it’s a big one. The Warriors are sitting at the top of the ladder with a chance to claim the minor premiership before finals footy begins!

Yesterday 12 students and 2 Year 13 mentors who completed the final challenge of Blue Edge, a 16-week programme focused on developing young people beyond the classroom.

Over the 16 weeks, students worked through themes including goal setting, teamwork, accountability, resilience, self-discipline, identity, ownership, leadership, mental strength, sacrifice, standards, manaakitanga and character.

The aim was to challenge students physically and mentally, have difficult conversations, build confidence and help them develop the tools to take greater ownership of their lives and their future.

To finish the programme, the 12 students were split into two teams of six and took on a 6-hour continuous endurance challenge, keeping three machines running throughout, the SkiErg, RowErg and Assault Bike. 2 of the 3 resting had to hold weighted plates and kettlebells. There were no passengers. Students had to communicate, manage fatigue, support one another and keep working when things got uncomfortable.

Team 1: 9,077 calories
Team 2: 8,924 calories
Total: 18,001 calories

Combined SkiErg and RowErg distance for Team 1: 143km 🔥
