Acknowledging people in the club

This guy doesn’t actually like the limelight. He’s happiest laying back with a cold beer, listening to the yarns on the deck of the Red Star clubrooms. But behind the tattoos, slick styles, and cruisy demeanour is a disciplined and competitive young man.

After a bit of mucking around and getting his head around the game, he really got into it — learning, practising and playing. What many find hard to believe is that just two years ago, he was D Grade - he only cracked C2 last year in April.

Reaching B2 is a dream that is out of reach for most of us who pick up a squash racquet in our 20s. But that wasn’t the case for our Hami.

He won’t like this write up. He’s a humble man deep down, and probably doesn’t realise just how impressive what he has achieved is. Mens 1 draw starts tomorrow night.

Good luck this weekend, brother.
