THANKYOU THURSDAY - Earlier this month, Tranzit Coachlines Wairarapa and driver Bertie, had the privilege of transporting the young and talented Wairarapa Youth Orchestra members during their roadshow.
"We would like to extend our special thanks to Bernie, whose friendly and professional manner contributed greatly to the positive experience. Despite the wet weather, he ensured everyone arrived safely and on schedule, and his calm presence helped make the day run smoothly. Tranzit's contribution helped create a memorable day of music, learning, and community engagement for our young performers. Opportunities like these would not be possible
without the support of valued community partners such as Tranzit Coachlines, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity and commitment to supporting young people in our community." - WYO Administrator.

This reflects the strength of our local team, our operational capability and our partnering approach to delivering reliable public transport services. We now look forward to working through our mobilisation plan to ensure we are ready to deliver a modern, customer-focused public transport network the community can be proud of.

It was a night to remember at the Family Business Excellence Awards Dinner at the Family Business Conference: Asia-Pacific in Hobart last night.
Tranzit Group was recognised not once but twice for an incredible legacy spanning a century in business ... testament to the fourth generation Snelgrove family who've led from the front. With the fifth generation now onboard, the future looks bright.
Our 2026 Family Business of the Year Award goes to ....
Tranzit Group
A huge congratulations to the team at Tranzit Group for winning the Legacy Family Business Award and the Family Business of the Year Award for 2026!
Tranzit Group started in 1925, celebrating a huge milestone of 100 years in operation last year. It began as a small regional bus service with a single vision - to connect people and places. Four generations later, that vision has grown into one of New Zealand’s largest family-owned transport and tourism providers, operating thousands of vehicles across the country.
Always keeping family at the forefront, they lead by example, supporting their staff to be their best and achieve their goals, including having the youngest female bus driver in the country on staff. This business has built its reputation on a commitment to sustainable growth, innovation and the preservation of family values.
The Family Business Excellence Awards are presented to an outstanding family business demonstrating excellence and achievement in the core business principles of Governance, Entrepreneurship and Stewardship, and exhibits how family ownership and involvement has helped the business to achieve a competitive advantage.
This could be your moment. Submissions for our 2026/27 Family Business Excellence Awards are now open. Apply now: https://bit.ly/43mjMg1
