📣 Putting a call out for more Junior Cricket players📣

We are short a few players for some of our junior teams for this term, and we are hoping amongst some of our members there may be kids that would be keen to give cricket a go. If our members could please share this and get it out there we would appreciate it!
The following is the teams and year groups we are needing more players for, if you are interested leave a comment on this post and we will be in touch.

Super 8s - Years 4,5,6,7s, played on a Friday evening starting at 5.30pm.
Super 6s - Years 2, & 3s, also played on a Friday evening starting at 5.30pm.
Smashplay - 4year old, Year 0 & 1s, also played on a Friday evening starting at 5.30pm.

Unfortunately our Social Women's Cricket is cancelled for tonight due to the rain that has arrived this afternoon / potentially more this evening.

We will push ahead with the Carterton offering next Wednesday at Carrington Park, and then Park Sports, Masterton on 3rd December

Carterton Cricket, Lansdowne Cricket, and Wairarapa Cricket are teaming up to seek interest in creating a relaxed, social cricket league for women keen to give cricket a go.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or have never held a bat before, come join the fun! Expect laughter, teamwork, and maybe even a few sixes (or at least some good snacks on the sidelines!). No pressure, no pros, just good company and great times.

Before we get it started, we want to gather an idea of numbers interested in playing, and logistics like what day would suit most to play and start times depending on the day. Rathkeale 1st XI Cricket 2025

Update 10.50am - This raining isn't working in our favour. The grounds will be very wet, and will be not much fun to play on!

So we are cancelling this event today, BUT we hope to see you all on Wednesday 15th from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, at the YMCA on Queen Street.

Keep up to date regarding today's event here! We will make a call shortly based on the weather. If we have to call off today, we have booked the YMCA indoor facility for WEDNESDAY from 3.30 to 4.30 to come have a go, and play some cricket.

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE 📢

Due to the orange heavy rain warning for this Saturday, we have made the call to move this event to SUNDAY the 12TH of October, same time, same place, and same awesome fun. We hope that you can make it, and we look forward to playing some 🏏 and a sausage sizzle afterwards!

🏏Term 4 Junior Cricket🏏

Junior Cricket is back for Term 4, the coaches of Lansdowne Cricket are warmed up, and ready to go! Come along, have a go hitting or bowling a ball, and get to meet the coaches! After a bit of fun, and a few games, the BBQ will be on for a sausage sizzle.

You will find us on the Queen Elizabeth Park Oval, from 1pm to 2.30pm.

Wairarapa Cricket

Our AGM on the 15th of August could not go ahead due to
not having enough members in attendance to make up a
quorum. Because of this, we had postponed it to
Friday 29th August 2025. We hope that members and
players will back their club, and attend the AGM to enable us the committee to keep moving forward as a club.
