All good things must come to an end and so it is with our trip to Malaysia 😪

Phoebe tried drawing a Blue Cod from memory… Let’s just say it’s a good thing her diving skills are better than her drawing skills!

Now it’s your turn, show us your best fish drawing! 🎨🐠

Bonus points for accuracy… but we won’t judge! 👀

Todays club divers managed to sneak in a fantastic dive(s) before the weather turned!

The sun was shining, Island Bay gave us 3–4m of visibility, and we were treated to a seahorse, blue cod, and a sleepy octopus. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday underwater!

Want to experience dives like this for yourself? Book your Open Water Course with Dive HQ today and start discovering Wellington’s underwater world! 🤿

I'm not letting a lost dive bag stop me diving!

Have hire gear so off we go exploring the House Reef.
A great varierty of species, 3 turtles, a crocodile fish, scorpion fish, mantis shrimp, large bumphead parrotfish, schools of jacks, sardines and snapper.

Plenty of fish in the sea ss they say. Unfortunately with strong onshore winds recently visibility was low and the amount of debris was high.

You know me - I found a plastic bag & managed to fill that to overflowing and remove it from the sea.

What an amazing night snorkel we had last night!

Our snorkellers were treated to seahorses, pipefish, sleeping fish, crabs and plenty of other marine life. Even better, every single snorkeller spotted at least one seahorse! Camilla was the lucky one, spotting around 9!

Worried you missed out? Don’t be!

Because this snorkel was so popular, we’re adding one more night snorkel on 17 September. This will be our final night snorkel of the year, so don’t miss your chance to experience Wellington’s marine life after dark.

Spaces are limited, so book your spot before it fills up!

Diving Steve's Bommie when we saw this beauty hunting over the sea floor.

Olive Sea Snakes can grow up to 2m long and this one was ~1.5m in length.

Using it's paddle like tail to swim it was hunting crevices in the reef for dinner - fish and small crustaceans. 🐟🦀🐠🦐

We were diving the Ribbon Reefs with Mike Ball and had such a fantastic time we are going back in 2028.

Our latest Dive Club Wellington trip really was memorable.
From the diving, the other divers, the marine life and the exploration of Far North Queensland afterwards.
