Final round for SOO series this Sunday at Te Whiti Park

The Final round for the 2026 SOO series is hosted at Te Whiti Park, Waiwhetu this weekend, Sunday 23rd August.

*There is no postponement of Game 2, which means this weekend will be the conclusion of the series and the winners will be best from 8 games.

We look forward to closing off the league season and celebrating the lessons and wins!!!

A few gentle reminders that this is NOT the NRL, Coaching staff and officials are volunteers, Respect and kindness goes a long way, ALL playing fields are SMOKE, V**E, ALCOHOL AND HOHA FREE!!

The Randwick Committee

On behalf of the Randwick Rugby League community we would like to offer our deepest condolences to the Kapua Whanau with the passing of a larger than life character we all knew as Wi’.

A Life Member at our club, Wi was a driving force for the success and growth of our junior teams back in the 80’s, not just in our club but for rugby league in the region - his hardwork is a testament to the legacy of the legend he was and the reason we continue to be so strong in that area.

During his years servicing our game Wi took on many roles as a coach, manager, referee, avid supporter, committee member, player, and a great story teller, showing loyalty and respect to all that were blessed to have crossed paths with him.

To Yvonne, Albert and the extended Whanau we send our thoughts and prayers to you as you spend your last few days with this wonderful gentlemen before he departs on his final journey.

We will miss the conversations, listening to your words of wisdom and hearing your voice around the park.

On behalf of our Under 16 boys coaching staff I would like to thank our Junior Convenors, WRL, the referees, our opponents and our supporters for the season.

To the parents/caregivers of our young men thank you for allowing us to be a part of this ride. You have been here alongside us week in and week out ensuring they have been at training and the games to be able to go out and shine like they did today, you are as much a part of the team as the rest of us. To say we are proud of their commitment, loyalty and respect for each other is an understatement. We have had the privilege of watching them grow, learn and then execute all of what they have learnt and it has shown in our results.
This group may never take the field together again as a team but what they have done and achieved is now in our history books - and nothing can take that away from them….Under 16 Boys 2026 Wellington Rugby League Grand Final Winners…
We will forever be in their corners no matter where their journeys may take them…once a Kingfisher always a Kingfisher….B2B….
