🧠 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁

Using the 𝗧𝗢𝗩𝗢 (Totaal Voetbal) methodology as our guiding philosophy, our Junior Academy sessions are built to develop close ball control, football IQ, spatial awareness, and effective decision-making.

In each session, players will engage in a wide variety of activities including:

✅ 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 (close control, first touch, weaker foot work)
✅ 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘀 / 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (quick passing, movement, pressure)
✅ 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 (understanding space, movement in patterns, linking play)
✅ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 / 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 (game-based pressure, transitions, decision making)

These drills help players to practice real-game scenarios in an environment that encourages creativity, problem solving, and confidence.

FootyBugs | Children Grassroots Football School | technical football skill development FootyBugs is a children grassroots football school, running in the summer months between September and April a Junior Academy and Skill Acquisition Program for boys and girls aged from 5 to 12 years.

That’s a wrap on the FootyBugs Summer Season 2024/25!

Over the past 24 weeks, our coaches spent up to 15 hours a week on the pitch with some incredible young footballers aged 5–12. It hasn’t always been easy—but it’s always been worth it. ⚽️🥰

FootyBugs has grown beyond what we could have imagined. Now in our 4th year, with around 100 players each term across our Junior Academy and Skill Development Program, it's a true testament to the quality of our programs, coaching and the strength of our community. None of this would be possible without our dedicated coaching team and the ongoing support from parents and families. 🙏

Now, we’re gearing up for the Winter Season and Club Football!

FootyBugs 𝗨𝟴 𝗥𝗲𝗱 are 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭 𝗨𝟴 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 — finishing the season UNBEATEN and wrapping it up with an epic 4-0 win over Dortmund! ⚽️🥅

The team showed heart, belief, and pure class. Every player stepped up, pulled their weight, and gave it 100%. Both of our goalkeepers kept a clean sheet and pulled off some amazing saves 💪

We’re so proud of this team — the effort, the growth, the teamwork… what a journey it’s been!

It’s the last round of the season, and our 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗕𝘂𝗴𝘀 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 are finishing strong! Here's a quick update on what’s ahead:

🔴 𝗨𝟴 𝗥𝗲𝗱
Through to the 𝗗𝗶𝘃 𝟭 𝗔-𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 and looking to go one better after multiple seasons as runners-up! They’ve gone unbeaten so far, even with a game less played. Can they bring it home? Let’s go, Red!

⚪️ 𝗨𝟴 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲
A season of two halves – strong start and lots of growth throughout. Proud of the effort and attitude these kids have shown every week!

🔵 𝗨𝟭𝟬
Playing in the 𝗗𝗶𝘃 𝟮 𝗔-𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹, currently equal 2nd with two games still to spare. A brilliant season and a chance to cap it off in style!

🟡 𝗨𝟭𝟮
It’s been a roller coaster of a season, and now they’ve got the opportunity to finish 3rd in the 𝗗𝗶𝘃 𝟮 𝗕-𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹. Not every match went our way, but the heart, hustle, and teamwork have been incredible all season long. Time to finish strong!

🏆 First Match of the Season – What a Start! ⚽

What a way to kick off the season! Massive congrats to all our FootyBugs teams for their efforts on the pitch this weekend.

U8 Red stormed to an 8-1 win, U8 White secured a solid 4-2 victory, and U10 put on a strong performance with a 8-1 win. Our U12s had a tough first half but showed great resilience with a second-half comeback - despite their efforts, the opposition was the better team and the team to watch for the championship.

👏 Huge shoutout to our brave goalkeepers who stepped up between the posts, especially Jem (U10) for an incredible performance!

Some key takeaways: working on positional play, especially out of possession. But we also saw some beautiful combination play, quality crosses, and some absolute stunners of goals 🥅

The season is just getting started, and we can't wait to see what's ahead! ⚽🔥

🏆 𝗨𝟭𝟮 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 – 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🏆

Looking back to an unforgettable 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝟰 last year, our 𝗨𝟭𝟮 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 ended the season in spectacular style, clinching the City League Junior Football Division 1 title with a commanding performance! 🎉

Facing a strong Bayern München side in the final, our players brought their A-game, delivering a masterclass in 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹. With quick transitions, one-touch combination play and relentless teamwork, FootyBugs controlled the match from start to finish, leaving the opposition no chance to settle into their game.

FootyBugs secured a dominant 6-1 victory that showcased the hard work and dedication our players put in throughout the season. ⚽

A huge congratulations to our players and coaches for this incredible achievement! 🙌 And thank you to our supportive parents and fans who cheered us on every step of the way.
