Massive congratulations to all our Valley Hawks boys who represented their colleges in the A & B Grade .wellington Basketball Finals on Tuesday night!

What a turnout from our little club - 23 players on the court, 2 coaches, 1 manager and a massive group of whānau πŸ’šπŸ¦…

It was awesome seeing so many of our Hawks competing on the big stage for their colleges and .sport.media and representing their schools and our club with pride.

To all our boys, we’re incredibly proud of you. Keep putting in the work, keep developing and keep pushing each other. πŸ‘ŠπŸ€

Basketball Hutt Valley crowned National U16 CHAMPIONS!

Proud is a understatement.

These boys trained for months, coach JLove told them from Day 1 "We're the best team in NZ, nobody can keep up with us", the boys fully bought in, trusted the systems and were determined to show all of NZ that we deserve spots in NZ teams , we deserve to have names on the Rising Stars list, we deserve to be at Nationals, we deserve 2 All Star 5s and a MVP and we deserve the Number 1 spot !

To our Valley Hawks boys ... Watching you all compete on the National stage was a truly proud moment for us - each and every one of you deserved to be there , you offered value to the team and earnt that gold medal!

To our Valley Hawks whānau - WOW.. that support was unmatched. Our support crew on the ground showing up repping the green and yellow with loud voices in a stadium packed full of support for the opposition. The group chat going off with messages of support thru the whole tourny, especially in that final! The welcome home at the airport was a moment we will never forget .. This is who we are , we are bigger than basketball - we are whānau πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ¦…

Massive shout out to our Valley Hawks boys on making the BBNZ National U16 Finals.

This Hutt Valley team full of 12 talented, hardworking boys has made the whole Hutt Valley so proud of this achivement and we are backing them all the way.

Not one of these boys had National experience to pull on from last year as this is the first time in 3 years that Hutt Valley has qualified to be here. Not only has this team qualified, they have competed, they have won every game and they are showing the whole country that Hutt Valley is a place to watch out for.

A special mention to our Splash whānau who have Assistant Coach, Jordan, and 5 dominant players in this team , 3 of which are making noise on the top scoring charts πŸ‘πŸ½
