Stand up paddleboarding is excellent exercise and very low impact, and it's always good to be on the water. So if running, swimming, cycling etc doesn't float your boat but you want to get into shape, then this is a great way to do it. Don't worry if you don't have great balance, you can start off on easy wide boards that offer great stability. It's not a getting-wet sport unless you want it to be.
