🌟 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO THREE OF OUR OWN! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to announce that three of our Kaikōura youth players have been selected to take part in the Mainland Development Camp for 2026! 🏐💙💛

A massive congratulations to:

👏 Hannah Reardon – Year 12
👏 Chelsea Annen – Year 12
👏 Harper Boyce – Year 13

To see three players who have come through our youth pathway representing Kaikōura at this level is something really special. It is a fantastic reflection of the talent, hard work and commitment of these young women, and we couldn’t be prouder of each of them.

They have put in the mahi, continued to develop their skills and challenged themselves to keep improving — and now they get the opportunity to take another step in their netball journey. 💪🏐

From playing youth netball here in Kaikōura to being selected for a Mainland development opportunity — what an achievement! 🙌

Congratulations Hannah, Chelsea and Harper. Enjoy every minute of the experience, soak up the opportunity, and know that your Kaikōura netball whānau will be cheering you on all the way!

🏐 HURUNUI/KAIKŌURA INTER-CENTRE CLUB PLAYOFFS 🏆

Today our top teams headed to Cheviot for our annual Inter-Centre Club Playoffs, where the leading teams from Kaikōura Netball Centre grades go head-to-head with the grade winning teams from Hurunui Netball Centre.

As our season is still underway, teams were selected to travel based on progression points — and they certainly did us proud! 💙💛

We came away with 3 wins from 5, bringing home trophies in:

🏆 Senior A — Rebels vs Cheviot A
🏆 Senior B — Inroaders A vs Cheviot B
🏆 Junior A — KYNGs Lightning vs Waiau

Hurunui took out the other two trophies; Senior C and Junior B - with Hanmer A defeating Inroaders B and Cheviot U14 defeating St Joseph’s. Congratulations to all the winning teams! 👏

There may have been a few gusty winds, but thankfully the rain stayed away and the games were played in fantastic spirit. It was great to see teams from both centres getting out there, competing hard and enjoying some great netball.

A huge thank you to Hurunui Netball Centre, Julia and the Cheviot team for hosting us and putting on a great day.

And to all of our Kaikōura teams — thank you for the effort, the travel and for putting in such a fantastic effort on court. You represented our Centre brilliantly.

A special thank you to all of our umpires on the day too. We appreciate you giving up your time to help make these fixtures possible! 👏
