Chasing a record took me to
Tuatapere Golf Club today, playing in their annual 27-hole event the last one standing in Southland!
I had the pleasure of being paired with a couple of local good buggers President Bruce, aka “Shark”, and Club Captain Phil, aka “Sholtsey.” Plenty of laughs and a great day out on the course.
There are definitely plenty of work-ons ahead over the next four weeks before I head north for a couple of Charles Tour events, but that’s all part of the process. Time to get stuck into the work. 💪🏽
It was awesome to see such a good turnout today supporting the event and Tuatapere Golf Club. Thanks to everyone involved for putting on another great day.

Callaway Golf South Pacific| Quantum Mini Spinner
It was a pleasure to sponsor the Closest to the Pin prize on the 8th hole at the Fiordland Classic this weekend at Te Anau Golf Club.
Alongside that, we also ran the GWD Southern MG Hole in One challenge, where one lucky golfer had the chance to drive away in a brand new MG.
Unfortunately, the car stayed with GWD this year, but we’ll be back next year to give everyone another crack at it!
I’m looking forward to catching up with the recipients of my coaching vouchers and helping them take their games to the next level.
Congratulations to all the winners, and a huge thank you to Te Anau Golf Club for their ongoing support. It was another fantastic weekend, and I can’t wait to do it all again next year.

The Summerset Charles Tour is heading to Southland for the first time, with The Langlands Invercargill Golf Club set to host a new 54-hole event from 17-19 December.
Founded in 1897, Invercargill is one of the country’s most historic clubs - now taking the 2026 Charles Tour calendar to seven events nationwide.

Wyndham Golf Club…
what an absolute treat. 👏
The course was in fantastic condition for today’s record attempt. Unfortunately, it was our toughest day yet, finishing with a 4-over 74—a long way from the course record of 63 held by Blair Sinclair and Rob Mainland.
Despite the score, I absolutely loved being back at Wyndham. The members were incredibly welcoming, and I’m looking forward to catching up with a few of them for lessons soon.
Unfortunately, there was no post-round video today due to some technical difficulties… also known as forgetting to press record and instead filming myself walking back to the car. 🤣
The good news is we’re making some changes to the swing. I struck the ball beautifully today I just didn’t have much idea where it was going! 😅 We’re trending in the right direction team. Give me a couple of weeks and I’ll be firing again.
Just like last week at Waikaka, my playing partner Shannon Lee won the competition of the day… and somehow we still lost the beer! 🍻
Big thanks to Shannon, Robbie and Dougy for a great day. Appreciate the company and the laughs.

Well team, what a fantastic first look at Waikaka Golf Club⛳️
It was always going to be a tall ask trying to chase another Scotte Hellier course record of 10-under (62), and this time we came up well short with a 1-under 71.
I had an absolute blast playing alongside Neil and Steve. The company, laughs, and banter were top notch all day.
I’m still trying to work out how we lost the beers when my partner Neil won the medal of the day… I think Slippery Steve might have something to answer for! 🍻😂
All in all, a fantastic day out on a great course. Looking forward to coming back in the summer and having another crack.

You’re never too young… or too experienced… to get a golf lesson. ⛳️
Had the pleasure of having Paul Adams, the godfather of golf, grace me with his presence today.
What I love most is that an absolute legend of the game is still looking to learn, improve, and get a little more out of his golf. That’s the mark of someone who truly loves the game.
Always great to spend time with one of the great characters of Southland golf.
