George Day Memorial Pairs were played today, it was played in a sets format. A great entry of 22 teams. Six teams qualified for post section. In one semi final John Perry and Cory Ladbrook beat John & Tracey McElligott and the other semi saw Grant Fortune and Brian Turner defeat Shawn Perry and Sam Smith. The final went to a tie break end, as did many games during the day, with John and Cory winning the tournament and trophy. Thr Plate was won by Tracy Hall and Alan Berrigan. Congratulations everyone.

🎉 Southland Novice Pairs – Sunday 🎉

What a fantastic day of bowls at the Southland Novice Pairs! With 10 teams entered, we saw some great, close-fought games, with 5 teams qualifying through to the post-section.

The semi-finals certainly delivered some exciting bowls. In one semi, the Gore RSA team of Robyn Hellier & Sean Clements edged out Jeff Andrews & Jannay Hall (Hedgehope), 11–10. In the other semi, Chris Brown & Louise Cahill (Tisbury/Grasmere) defeated Julie & Greg Erskine (North Inv/IWMC), 11–4.

The final was a real thriller, with the teams all square heading into the last end. Robyn & Sean held their nerve to take the win and claim the Southland Novice Pairs title. 🏆👏

A huge congratulations to Robyn & Sean on a fantastic result, and well done to everyone who took part. Special congratulations to Julie & Greg Erskine, who finished 3rd equal alongside Jeff Andrews & Jannay Hall — a great effort! 👏

And there was more success for our crew, with Brent Munro & Adrian Goodall taking out 1st place in the Plate! 🥇🎉

Invercargill Club of the Year

We had 6 clubs head along last night to battle it out in the Invercargill Club of the Year. And battle it was.
North Invercargill came away with the win, followed closely behind by Onslow and then Wallacetown.
