The Challenge Shield 🛡 is back on the line tonight as Squash City Invercargill host Mossburn squash club Best of luck to both clubs 👍 The winner will face Riversdale Squash Club who deferred their previous Challenge.

Best of luck also to everyone playing in the Makarewa Squash Club 1 Day Open on Sunday [with some games being played on Saturday afternoon]. Point of interest [for some] is that there are more women 🙋‍♀️ playing than there are men 🙋‍♂️ 👏👏👏

After a huge few weeks of squash around the region, with many of our members travelling, competing, and supporting tournaments at other clubs, it's now our turn to welcome everyone back to Invercargill! 💪

We've seen some fantastic support for events throughout Southland recently, and we'd love to see that same energy at our Open. Whether you're chasing points, keen for a competitive weekend, or just looking for some great squash and good company, we'd love to have you involved.

💆‍♂️ Bonus for players: Yudi, our popular sports massage therapist, will be on-site Saturday morning to help keep you loose, fresh, and ready for your matches.

Let's get a real mix of players across all grades and make it a tournament to remember. The more people in the draws, the better the weekend for everyone! 🙌

👑🎉 KING'S BIRTHDAY TOURNAMENT FUN IN FIORDLAND! 🎉👑

What a fantastic long weekend in Te Anau for the annual King's Birthday Tournament! Squash City had a huge crew make the trip, with even more players attending than last year — a great sign of the strength, spirit and support within our club. 💪🏽🏆

Representing Squash City were:
Braeden, Carla, Courtney, Doyle, Ellie, Ethan, Howie, Katy, Kaylee, Leanne, Rach, Routy, Rylee, Scotty, Shaun, Stacey, Stephen, Tegan, Terry and Tommy.

It was awesome to see players competing across a wide range of grades, with a few sibling combinations in the mix as well. The weekend was packed with great squash, plenty of laughs, and the camaraderie that makes these tournaments so special.

A special mention to Doyle, who has left the rest of us more than a little jealous after taking home the major spot prize — a Doubtful Sound package! 🚤🌄

Saturday's dress-up theme was the first letter of your club, and Team "S" certainly embraced the challenge. The creativity was on full display, with some impressive and entertaining outfits making an appearance! 😆
