🐴 The arena and obstacles area are now available for bookings again.

As a biosecurity precaution due to Strangles, the yards have been temporarily taped off and are unavailable for use. This will also give us the opportunity to tidy up and carry out some maintenance around the yard area.

Thank you for your understanding and we continue to keep our horses and visiting horses safe. 💚

🐴 Bring Your Own Horse Group Riding Lessons – Expressions of Interest 🐴

Huntly Community Riding Centre is looking at running our Bring Your Own Horse Group Riding Lessons with Sarah Campbell again once the current strangles situation is under control.

At this stage, we're tentatively aiming for August, although this may change depending on how the situation develops. The health and wellbeing of all horses will remain our priority.

If you're interested, please register your interest by completing the Expression of Interest form.

Lesson Details:
🐎 $50 per rider
⏰ 1-hour group lesson
👥 Maximum of 4 riders per group

• Kids
• Novice Adults
• Advanced Adults

Huntly Community Riding Centre Update

Over the next two weeks, Huntly Community Riding Centre will be fully booked with our July School Holiday Pony Sessions. During this time, the grounds will also be closed to riders bringing their own horses.

With the current strangles outbreak still in its early stages, and while there are no confirmed cases linked to recreational riding activities, we feel this is an ideal opportunity to monitor the situation while the grounds are already closed for the holiday programme.

The health and welfare of our horses is our highest priority. This temporary closure will also give us time to assess the situation and, if necessary, implement measures to minimise any potential risk of strangles being introduced to the property.

Hopefully the outbreak is contained quickly and these precautions won't be needed, but we'd rather take a proactive approach to protecting our horses.

We will reassess the situation after the school holidays and keep everyone updated. 🐴💚

🐴 July School Holiday Pony Sessions 🐴

Looking for a fun, hands-on activity these school holidays? Come and enjoy a one-on-one pony experience at Huntly Community Riding Centre!

✨ Suitable for children aged 5 years and over
💲 $30 per child
⏰ 1-hour private session

Children will spend time with both of our friendly ponies, Mocha and Charlie, learning horse care and handling skills in a safe, relaxed, and confidence-building environment.

Each session includes:
🐴 Brushing, grooming and patting the ponies
🐴 Learning safe horse handling and building confidence around ponies
🐴 Leading Mocha through fun obstacle activities
🐴 Spending time with our larger pony, Charlie, to build confidence with bigger horses
🐴 Finishing with a lead-rein ride in the arena, or for more confident riders, an off-lead ride (at the instructor's discretion)

Sessions are tailored to each child's confidence and experience, making them ideal for beginners or young pony lovers wanting to learn more.

🌞 Afternoon sessions available.

👨‍👩‍👧 Want to book for more than one child?

We can accommodate multiple participants; however, as there is one instructor and one horse can be ridden at a time, an additional fee applies for extra participants.
