Bit slack on giving an update from Gisborne on the 9th of May!

Blew a diff head in race 1 after having good pace resulting in a DNF.

Race two and three were not too bad, running a different diff ratio so not pushing it too hard but finished 2 out of three almost damage free!

The last couple of week saw the car get stripped and all new steel work done (again😅) big thanks to Jordy for sorting that out for me! So she’ll sit for a bit awaiting sandblast and paint!

Stockcar Kuru Cup 18th April

Race 1 off grid 14. A very wet and heavy track saw us get pushed around a bit off the start but climbed up to 7th.

Race 2 off grid 30. Was very busy right from the start but kept pushing forward sitting in 5th until a block car slowed up infront of me. Dealt to them to carry on dropping back a bit. Last lap coming into turn one something funny happened to the steering but managed to finish the race in 12th. Broken bolt in the steering arm, lucky to be able to carry on to put us 8th on points heading into heat 3.

Race 3 off grid 4. Was almost a non event if Jordy hadn’t noticed the left rear going flat! Lucky to get it changed before gridding up! Slotted into 3rd for a few laps then bestie Brytnie did tank things and held up the front two cars enough for me to get into the lead taking the much needed win to finish 3rd on the podium for Kuru Cup!

Couldn’t ask for a better way to end the season at Meeanee! Weather permitting we’ll be in Gisborne on the 9th May!

21st March saw Jordy jump in the hot seat for Peter Barry consolation races. A mixed bag of results for him,
Grid 8 to 2nd
Grid 1, was leading most of the race until getting caught up and having a gentle lay down!
Grid 11 to finish 8th with a few handling issues!

4th April back to Courtney being in the seat for East Coast Champs!
Grid 15 got up to 5th until getting held up, almost the first rollover victim! Finished 14th.
Grid 4 was sitting in 4th for a bit until getting some pay backs dropping down to 10th.
Grid 17 got stuck in again and finished 5th! Every race was a busy one with action happening everywhere!

Finished 9th overall for East Coast Champs!

This coming weekend sees us back at home for the final meeting, the Stockcar Kuru Cup! With a stacked feild it sure is going to be action packed!

New project for Zach to get ready for next season!

An eventful Friday! Decided to head to Rotorua for a club night that unfortunately got rained off as we were about to come into town!

On the way we lost our trailer spare on the Napier Taupo road, lucky we came back in the day light and found it resting on the bank!

We also planned to head to Gisborne on Saturday but unfortunately the rain canceled that meeting too!

This coming Saturday sees Jordan belt up for the consolation races at Peter Barry teams! Not many meetings left for the season so hopefully they’re goodies!

Huntly Speedway 28th February

Just wanted to get some laps in after quite some time not racing, unfortunately it was one of those weekends where we were better to stay at home😅

Had grids 8,2,11

Got a good start in heat one slotting into 3rd but coming into turn 1 and 2 on lap 2 the right rear tyre popped half spin, so DNF

Race 2 we had another great start sitting in 2nd for about 5 laps until getting spun going into turn 3 going in backwards heavy on the left rear! Another DNF.

Race 3 was a DNS as I was a bit sore after heat 2.

The trailer also decided to collapse a wheel bearing, luckily we weren’t far from the workshop!

We have a bit of damage to repair after the left hand side pushed forward but we will get it sorted and we will return to Huntly at a later date! Huge thank you to Jordy for being crew chief and towing me up there and also Brad Phillpot for allowing us to store the trailer at your place over night!

Checked in ready to go at Huntly Speedway! First time here with the stockcar!

Just Jordy and myself tonight, dad and Zach have work to do at Meeanee.

There hasn’t been alot happening in our corner, we’ve had the car prepped and ready to go for a couple weeks now after a rain out from Meeanee the other week.

We were set to head to Gisborne on Saturday for a spin but unfortunately they’ve had to cancel their meeting due to incoming rain! So we’ve decided to have a spin up at Huntly speedway! Haven’t raced there since the ministock days about 8 years ago so looking forward to it!

We’ve also had a brand new bonnet made to replace the one that got wrecked at our first meeting of the season🫣 Huge thank you to Gerry and his team at Andys Bodys for getting it made!
