SUNDAY 25th JANUARY 2025 - 5pm

Past and present Locals players, coaches, volunteers and supporters all welcome!

Come along for a good time, great vibes, a BBQ and get together to celebrate The Locals Netball Club.
We’ve got everything covered all you need to do is show up with your shoes, drink bottle and game winning attitude 🙌 😉

📣CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We’re thrilled to announce that The Locals and Naumai Netball Clubs have merged and amalgamated with Southern Rugby, forming Southern Netball for the 2026 season!

This is a huge step forward for our South Taranaki community and one we’re incredibly excited about.
The merger strengthens both rugby and netball in our community and creates amazing opportunities for players, coaches, sponsors and supporters.

From 2026 alongside our junior senior and rugby teams, Southern will field:
🏐 3 Premier Netball teams
🏐 A Hawera Satellite team
🏐 A Men’s Netball team

This makes Southern the only club in Taranaki to field teams across all rugby and netball grades. A massive milestone for our club!

We are incredibly proud of what our club has achieved and grateful for everyone that has been part of The Locals Netball Club journey. A big thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters over the years - we are very excited to see what the future holds for netball in South Taranaki!!

To celebrate our club coming to and end, we are playing one last game as ‘The Locals’ on Sunday 25th January at 5pm
Venue is to be confirmed - keep an eye out for more information to come.
