I keep a checklist on my desk during my heaviest training blocks.
It's not a goal list. It's a minimum list.
One hour of lifting, four days a week. One walk outside, no phone. One real meal cooked at home instead of grabbed on the way somewhere. Ten minutes of stretching before bed. That's it. Nothing impressive. Nothing that makes a good Instagram story.
But I've learned that the seasons where I let those things slip are the ones where I look back and don't recognize how I felt in my own body — no matter what else I got done that month.
The hour you spend lifting. The hour you spend walking. The hour you're actually present with the meal instead of eating standing up over the sink. None of it feels significant in the moment.
All of it adds up to the body you're building.
