Twin brothers go head-to-head as Magpies smash Turbos Twin brothers Tom and Reuben Allen went head-to-head for the first time on Friday when the Hawke's Bay Magpies beat the Manawatū Turbos.

It is with great sadness that Havelock North Rugby Club acknowledges the passing of our Life Member Colin Shanley.

Colin was a valued and respected member of our Club, and his contribution and connection to Havelock North Rugby will be remembered with great affection. We extend our thoughts and condolences to Colin’s wife Shona, his family, and all those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service celebrating Colin’s life will be held on Saturday, 12 September 2026 at 2.00pm in the Magdalinos Room, Havelock North Function Centre, 30 Te Mata Road, Havelock North.

The Havelock North Rugby Club is proud to host the New Zealand Parliamentary Rugby Team on Saturday 22 August. Along with the New Zealand Parliamentary Netball Team, the team will take on local invitational teams, all in support of Cranford Hospice

On Saturday 22 August, the New Zealand Parliamentary Rugby Team and New Zealand Parliamentary Netball Team are heading to Hawke’s Bay to take on local invitational teams, all in support of Cranford Hospice.
