World Cup tournament MVP 👊

Ground-breaking World Champions! 🌏🏆 Congratulations to Marty, Mason Robinson & Central Stags alumnus Dean Askew after a brilliant World O60s tournament in Canada, the first NZ veterans cricket team to win a world title. Mason finished as NZ's top run-scorer & second overall with 370 runs from 6 rounds at a 92.50 average, including a century & three fifties; and was one of the top keepers. Dean's 9 wickets came in at a 11.11 average. NZ O60s share the world title with England, whom they had already beaten in a pool play thriller, after a washed out Final.

🏆 WORLD CUP CHAMPION! 🇳🇿

A massive congratulations to Whanganui United Cricket’s Martin Pennefather, who has helped the New Zealand Over 60s Cricket Team become joint champions after a finals washout at the Over 60s Cricket World Cup in Canada.

The team went unbeaten throughout the tournament, becoming the first ever New Zealand Veterans team to win a World Cup.

A fantastic achievement for Martin and a proud moment for everyone at United Cricket.🔵
