Going to Ends with St Andrews and Beerescourt tied on 12 ends each and Koromatua 10 ends.

Congratulations to Hamilton Workingmen’s Club duo Phil Bailey and Warren Baxter who won the Hamilton Champ of Champ Pairs this evening. This was Phil's first Hamilton title, and Warren's third.

Tonight’s Champion of Champions Singles event went down to the wire. Shaun Blackbourn of St Andrew’s and Roddy Anderson of Koromatua were 8-8 on the last end and the measure was literal millimetres requiring a second measure!

Roddy took out the win and with it his sixth Hamilton title.

Congratulations to the Hamilton team who won the Moore Cup challenge today. This annual sub-centre event between Hamilton, Eastern and Morrinsville was held at the home of Waikato Indoor Bowls.

Thank you to the Umpires - John Neal, Alex Jones, Roy McCurdy - who multi tasked while playing!

The winning team in the Hamilton Fours this year with three outright wins was Solomon’s team from Koromatua - Solomon, Gordon, Steffan and Lawrence. Steffan and Lawrence were also presented with the first winners badge.

Runner up with 1 1/2 wins was Matthew, Logan, Liam and Grant.

Raffle prizes of bacon and eggs went to Roddy and Barry.

Supper was ginger nut biscuits and hot savouries, perfect on such a wet night!

Green theme winners were Steffan, Steve, Eric, Marson and Gordon - thanks to those that were in Green.

Next event is our Kaimai Challenge against Tauranga in August, followed by the Moore Cup then finishing up with Champion of Champions.
