A top judo club, developing judo skills for people of all ages. Dojo located at Waikato Rugby Stadium, beside the practice ground.
Junior Boys and Girls training for ages 7-10 years on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6.00pm - 7.30 pm
Senior Boys and Girls training for ages 11-14 years on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6.00pm - 7.30pm
Cadets, Junior Men and Women, Senior Men and Women training on Monday and Wednesday Nights 7.30pm - 9.00pm
Mat fee for trials: $15 (which will be deducted from the term fee once you are registered with us)

Henkada has a tradition to invite visitors to share Tokui waza (得意技), favourite technique and tips. Teen Yuma from Hamilton’s sister city Saitama (Urawa) in Japan recently shared his Uchimata. Thank you Yuma for imparting your judo knowledge 🥋

Whakatane Fun day team event held Sunday 23rd August.
Light weight division: Harper won all 4 fights to get her team the gold. Jake won all 3 fights and his team got a silver.
Yasir won 1 and got caught in his 3rd with his team getting silver. Silas had bigger opponent's but came out with a win and his team got bronze. Ansar fought so well winning his 1st 2 fights and dominating in his 3rd, but got caught out in the end. Unfortunately his team didn’t place, however reaped the rewards at Judo on Monday.
Thanks Whakatane Judo Club for an awesome event and Bradley for the write up and heading over to coach the kids, legend.

Action packed weekend at Auckland International Judo comp. Great to see the commitment from those starting out their competitive journey on the tatami through to the seasoned judoka who keep returning for more. Some wins, some losses and some lessons.
