That's a wrap on the 2026 regular season.

We would like thank all the volunteers over this season, we couldn't do it without you all.

Thanks for another awesome season, we enjoy watching you all on the pitch every weekend smiling, having fun and doing Western United proud.

Hi Western United AFC families

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of the 2026 football season! We truly hope you have all had a great season and have enjoyed watching your children develop friendships and football skills this year.

With our prizegiving approaching quickly, we are now looking to you all for nominations for coach awards Our time to celebrate those football heroes that were there for our children this season.

There are three Categories

Senior Coach of the Year- 10th-13th grades

Junior Coach of the Year - 8th-9th grades

First Kicks Coach of the Year- 4th-7th grades

Here is some criteria to help you with your nominations:

A coach who . . .

Goes above and beyond for the players and team

Encourages positive behaviour, both on and off the pitch

Supports players positively from the sideline

Develops all players fairly and equally

Builds passion in the players

Don't forget you have until the Friday 4th September.

Dear Western United Families

We are seeking donations for spot prizes or cash donations for our upcoming Club 5 a side tournament to be held at Bremworth Park on Saturday 12 September.

The purpose is to provide a fun day of small sided games to celebrate a successful football season for our junior club members.

It is with deep sadness that Western United AFC shares the passing of our long-standing secretary, Suzette Buckley.

Suzette was a dedicated committee member for over 12 years, and her unwavering commitment and countless contributions to our football community will always be remembered.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Suzette’s loved ones during this difficult time.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday 26th August at Seddon Park Funeral Home.

If anyone lost there Western United hoodie on Saturday we have had one found.

Western United 5 a side…. Saturday 12th September.

Registrations will open this week and coaches will be emailed to do their team and players registrations. Players talk to your coach if you’re interested in playing.

It will be open for all grades and will cost $5 per player, one payment per team will need to be made at time of registration.

It is a great way to celebrate the end of season, we hope to see you all there.
