Cullen Engineering has been on the receiving side of countless WESMO orders.
They’ve been responsible for machining most of our tabs and brackets and more notably, they’ve profiled our entire accumulator and pedal box. With a few welds, these components look absolutely fantastic and are nearly ready for comp!
We’d like to show appreciation to Cullen Engineering for their willingness to support progress in our project. They’ve been very friendly and co-operative and have never failed to deliver a high-quality product that has helped bring our car to life.

Recently, a few of our team members were lucky enough to get a tour of the Industrial Tube factory here in Hamilton.
Industrial Tube has been instrumental in helping us to build our car. They’ve supplied many manufactured parts and materials for us, most notably is their dual-phase steel that is being used for this year’s chassis (the frame of the car - kind of a big deal!).
Our team got to experience Industrial Tube’s cutting-edge technology, seeing first-hand why they pride themselves on their quality. It was a highly educational and intriguing visit to their factory.
As soon as the team got back to campus, they got right into preparing the chassis for welding. This is an exciting step towards our car competing in Melbourne for the FSAE-A Competition. Watch this space!
We want to say a huge thank you to Industrial Tube for their support, for generously taking the time to show some of our team their impressive factory, and showcasing how their vast variety of products are made!

The 2025 WESMO team is gearing up for an exciting season ahead and we’re grateful to have you following along for the ride!
This page will keep followers engaged with our progress, updated on various events and milestones and showcase what it looks like to be part of the team. WESMO is run each year by a team of 4th-year engineers building an open-wheeled single-seat electric race car as a part of their Capstone project and will be racing it against other university teams in Calder Park, Melbourne, Australia.
The club however caters to all students interested in motorsports, the automotive industry, marketing, and more. Currently, there is a team of junior engineers working on re-building the 2023 ICE racecar, eventually to be used for testing and racing.
This year is bound to be a blast, and we’d love for you to be a part of the team. Flick us a message; we’ll see how we can get you involved no matter what you’d like to do.
Cheers,
WESMO Team.
