Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of music, dance and entertainment as Rachel’s Studio of Dance presents Inspired by Legends - A celebration of the iconic musical legends and songs that we all know and love! From Queen, ABBA, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson to Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, The Spice Girls and more, this show is packed with incredible music, energy and plenty of nostalgia!

Featuring dancers from Southland’s only Ballroom, Latin American & New Vogue Dancesport studio, this is a true celebration of dance across the generations. From our tiniest 2-year-old Tiny Tots right through to our experienced, award-winning National Dancesport Squad.

And it wouldn’t be a community show without showcasing some of the incredible young talent we have right here in our local community! We are thrilled to welcome guest performances from other talented local kids, making this a show full of variety, energy and plenty of moments to be proud of.

Does your little one love twirling around the lounge room and dancing to their favourite songs? 💕 It’s time to let their love of dance shine!

Join us for Term 3 and they’ll get the chance to perform with their class at our Studio Showcase on stage at the end of the term! 🌟

Our Tiny Tots classes help build confidence, coordination, friendships and teamwork in a fun, supportive, family-friendly environment, where every child belongs.

📅 Wednesdays | 3:15–3:45pm | $70 per term.

It was an incredible day with ALL of our students passing their exams with honours (90% or more in all dances) and lots also getting honours with distinction (95% or more in all of their dances). This day’s success was a huge reflection of our students and their families commitment and love of dance. 💃

What an incredible weekend for our Nationals Team at the NZ Open One Dance Championships in Wellington! 🏆✨

The dedication, passion, determination, and energy our dancers poured into preparing for this event was incredible, and their results are a reflection of every hour of hard work they’ve invested.

• Achieved an impressive 4th placing!

💃 Keira - Solo & Dancesport singles
• 11 x 1st Places
• 13 x 2nd Places

💃 Jessica & Amelia - Junior Dancesport
• 12 x 1st Places
• 8 x 2nd Places

💃 Amy - Recreational Pre-teen
• Competed at her very first Nationals and made 3 Finals in some of the biggest events of the day!

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our dancers. While the results are amazing, what makes us even prouder is the way our studio family comes together year after year. Through the highs and lows of this challenging weekend, our huge team of dancers, families, coaches, and supporters cheer each other on, lift each other up, and celebrate every achievement together. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who supported our team throughout the journey. Your encouragement means the world. Now it’s back to work as we continue training for our Studio Exams on July 5th and begin preparations for the Open Dancesport Championships in Auckland this October! 💪🔥

The future is looking bright, and we’re excited for what’s ahead for RSOD!
