What a weekend of racing! 🙌

A huge thank you to the 300 swimmers and their clubs who competed at the HBPB Winter Short Course Championships. We really appreciate you being part of our championships and helping make it such a great weekend.

Despite a huge amount of sickness and a significant number of withdrawals, the racing remained exciting throughout the weekend, with some outstanding performances, plenty of PBs and some fantastic achievements in the pool. 👏

A special thank you also goes to the many volunteers, officials, timekeepers, technical officials, coaches, team managers and everyone behind the scenes who gave up their time to make the championships happen. These events simply could not run without you, and your contribution is hugely appreciated.
And finally, congratulations to all the swimmers who got up on the blocks and gave it their best this weekend. We hope you enjoyed the racing, the competition and the atmosphere!

The 2026 Hawke’s Bay Poverty Bay Winter Short Course Championships were an absolute ripper for the Enterprise Cars Swim Team!

From team titles and relay wins to PBs, awesome racing and incredible team spirit, there was so much to celebrate across the whole weekend. 🔥

A huge congratulations to Lola Stewart, named HBPB Junior Swimmer of the Year, and to every single Enterprise swimmer who got in, gave it a go and contributed to such an awesome result for our team.

And of course, Coach Matt managed to get in on the winning action too!! — with Up the Wahs taking out 1st place in the HBPB Draft Relay!

The HBPB Draft Relay was one of the highlights of the HBPB Winter Short Course Championships, bringing together swimmers from across the region in three exciting mixed teams!
