Gisborne Bowling Club

It was a perfect afternoon for everyone to get out on the green. This is our last week at Beetham as we move back to our club next week. A huge thank you to Beetham’s management for allowing us to use their wonderful green!

There weren’t many from the touring group at roll up today …. 2 actually! Maybe we will see more on Thursday 😎

After winning the inaugural NZ / Aussie test, Peter, Kym & Chris were awarded life membership to the Robina Bowling Club

Sadly the Gisborne Bowling Clubs Gold Coast Tour had its last day bowling today. Like all great tours, Club Robina decided to set up an Aussie vrs NZ competition. The kiwi’s came out of the blocks absolutely on fire. The week of bowls had set us all up and there was NO way we were going to let the Aussie’s even get a sniff of victory.
Our group has been solid as a rock all week and this tour has set us up nicely for the coming season …. Thanks to every member of the touring group and to Ray Young and Harry Jackson for slotting in so easily.
It is back to Gisborne for the majority of us …. Roll on 2026 /27 season !

It was great to mix up our teams and to play with combined teams …. Fun times!

Today, the GBC headed out to Burleigh for two games. Another very impressive club, that not only has huge plans for their future development costing millions, they are also a club that has a big heart and were extremely welcoming. Thanks Burleigh, the games were very competitive and we each had our share of wins. A fantastic day ….. whilst everyone at home froze!

Time to be tourists ….. cruising the canals, great company, great fun !
