Thanks to everyone who has already completed the EOI for our October Hawke’s Bay Tournaments.

We have now registered and locked in two teams with Hawke’s Bay Cricket:

🔵 Poverty Bay Cavaliers – Year 11–13 Boys
📅 5–7 October 2026

🔵 Poverty Bay Colts – Year 9/10 Boys
📅 8–10 October 2026

We now need confirmation from all interested players ASAP.

A huge congratulations to Ben O’Brien-Leaf and Jason Trowill on their continued service to our game through umpiring.

Umpires play such an important role in making cricket possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for the time, commitment and experience Ben and Jason continue to give back to the game. Extraordinary milestones from these two.

We know Hamilton is a fair hike from Gisborne, but wanted to share the opportunity for anyone who may be interested and available.

Introducing the new NZC Mana Wāhine Coaching Collective cohort

This collective brings together women working as coach developers, regional leaders and local leaders across community cricket to grow confidence, capability and influence in the cricket system.

Through this action-focused programme, participants will explore inclusive coaching practice, build familiarity with the Women’s Coaching Toolbox, and develop practical plans to help create meaningful change at club level.

We’re excited to see the impact this cohort will have across the game 🏏
