National Champ of Champ Mixed Pairs – Final Update:
A tough finish to the campaign for Don & Krystel Williams, going down 11–3 to Wanaka’s Tom Malcolm & Kim Tilly in their final game.
Earlier they produced a fantastic comeback against Agnes & David Motu, recovering from 9–0 down to level at 11-all, before narrowly losing 12–11.
With a bye to finish, that wraps up Don & Krystel’s National Champ of Champ campaign.
Well done to our Tolaga Bay father-and-daughter duo, you represented your club and Gisborne East Coast with pride 💙 💙 💙

National Champion of Champions Women’s Triples | Day 2
Tolaga Bay trio of Clara Taingahue, Krystel Williams and Veeshaye Smiler, picked up two wins today, with both their Round 4 and Round 5 opponents unfortunately having to forfeit, before Tolaga Bay had their scheduled bye in the final round.
That gives the team a final record of 2 wins, 2 losses and 2 byes.
Not quite enough to progress to post-section, but congratulations ladies on representing Tolaga Bay Bowling Club and Gisborne-East Coast on the national stage. 👏

National Champion of Champions Women’s Triples Update:
A tough opening day for our Tolaga Bay trio Clara Taingahue, Krystel Williams and Veeshaye Smiler, with losses to Buckland and Stoke and a bye in Round 2.
They have two more games to play tomorrow before another bye in the final round. With three wins or more to qualify, progression may now be out of reach, but there’s still plenty to play for.
Two games, two opportunities to finish their Nationals on a high. 💪
All the best tomorrow ladies, give it everything 👏
