P.O.T.D from final weekend of cricket 28th March.
Welldone to those that achieved Player of the Day through out term 1. Don't worry if you didn't get it this time around there's always the second half of the season in Term 4.
We are very grateful to our drink bottle sponsors that we are able to give the kids a small item of appreciation.
Also MCA got some Pita Pit Vouchers/Certificates out to us too so there's been a great mixture of things.

A huge thank you to all those that filled in on weeks where teams were short. We have a plan for those kids next term with some Thank You Certificates.

Well Done to Tilly Giesen for your awards. You are an asset to our club.

Also to Milla who's part of our senior women's team and helps a lot with coaching when she can.

I'd be happy if we got FJCC teams together to provide shirts too.
However sometimes you get mixed up anyway with new people but you could wear your training shirt if you have one.

If your kids love cricket and are keen to keep playing through the winter we have organised a special opportunity for all to keep playing.

A 6-week Junior Indoor Cricket programme has been organised, running every Sunday from 3 May to 7 June 2026 — (the second Sunday of Term 2.)

Age Groups: Y6/7/8 & Y9/10 grades

🏟️ What you need to know:
• 6-a-side Junior World Series format
• Everyone bats (4 overs) and bowls (2 overs)
• Games last 1 hour — fast, fun, and action-packed
• Balls and umpires provided
• Open to boys and girls
• Location: Palmerston North Indoor Sports Centre

It's a really fun format — playing cricket with nets around you is genuinely a great time and adds a different dynamic to the game. Especially when the ball comes bouncing off the wall back to you and you get a run out.

If your kids love cricket, we'd highly recommend signing them up and giving it a go. Many Blackcaps and White Ferns grew up playing Indoor cricket.
