Automotive Direct owner Chris Moffitt, after his time working in Australia left him with a focus on after sales service. ‘You always have a few doubts going into your own business, but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. It’s been amazing coming back and seeing how busy Feilding has become,’ says Chris.
Having worked at Automotive Direct from 2002 to 2006, Chris left to work in Australia for Von Bibra, one of the biggest car franchises on the Gold Coast. Procedures were extremely strict, but this helped Chris to develop skills that he has transferred successfully to the dealership he now owns.

The main goal is to get repeat business, which is important for the industry, particularly in a town as close-knit as Feilding.
The intention is to have cars from a certain price range to suit a range of clients. Chris focuses heavily on value, which is consistent with the previous owners Kester and Sandra. It is important to accommodate what people want rather than what Chris can sell.
The focus on affordability also applies to the rental side of the business, which offers 10 to 12 seater vans for rent. These vans are perfect for the day outing for a golf trip or some local touring. To enquire about car or van rental, or to get advice on what’s value for money.
