fancy an afternoon walk/explore next week?

One week to go!
We’re excited to kick off our walking series next Tuesday, exploring local parks and pathways.
Our first location may bring back memories of the old boiling hot high slide, stone skipping at the river or the multiple colour runs. The iconic Timona Park.

Fun fact:
Did you know the Timona Park Orchard Trust, warmly known as the “TPOT” group, helped spark a community effort to clear an overgrown area and harvest fresh fruit for residents to enjoy?

See you next week to share your favourite memory here while we walk!

Men vs Women this weekend 26/08/2026

This Saturday is a sealed handicap road run/walk from the Beaconsfield valley Rd Hall - different course to the AMW champs a couple of weeks ago. And our Men and Women will be racing head to head over 8km. Being "Sealed" means they will be starting all at the same time. Should be some fun rivalry! read more in this weeks newsletter

Still on that relay buzz after Halcombe?!

The next big event in our region is the Athletics New Zealand Road Relay Championships on Saturday 3 October.

But did you know you don't HAVE to be part of an Athletics club to enter?

There are social options too - take on the full 7-leg relay or the more sedate 6-leg relay.

Perfect for workmates, gymmates, team mates from other sporting codes, parkrun friends...

You'll get to experience the fun of a road relay AND get to see some pretty elite runners and walkers from all around the country battling it out.

Check out all your options here:
