On the 19th March this year, we sadly lost our gorgeous Fiona to breast cancer. This has left a gaping hole in our community and the world 💜.
On Sunday 10th May, Sarah and I are hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast, when Fiona was meant to speak about her breast cancer journey as a survivor 😣💗.
There is still so much to be done to fight and eliminate breast cancer - every little helps.
We’d love to see you there ♥️.

World Menopause Day 💛
I recently captured this sunrise with my dogs - it took my breath away.
It reminded me how the awe of seeing the sun rise can make us forget everything and leave us in a state of pure bliss.
Psychologists define awe as a response to vastness that reshapes our mental maps - “whoa - I need a bigger frame for this”.
In the body, our nervous system shifts to our calm rest-and-digest state. Our cortisol levels can reduce, our brain moves away from the inner chatter to the here and now.
The wide horizon reduces our tunnel-vision stress, the slow increase in dawn light stabilises our body clock, which also steadies mood and energy later.
The patterns we see from the clouds, and treelines are easy for the brain to process, which calms us.
We feel connected to something much bigger than us.
At whatever stage of life we find ourselves, Nature anchors us to cycles; in Menopause they whisper that endings are beginnings, and the light always returns ❤️.
On World Menopause day, let’s celebrate the wisdom of this transition by sharing real stories, championing evidence-based care and standing together for everywoman’s wellbeing 💜.
Save & share with a friend who needs this. 💫

Anxiety can be one of the very first signs of perimenopause and can sometimes feel like it has come out of nowhere.
Here’s why:
Progesterone is often the first hormone to disappear in early perimenopause. Since progesterone normally boosts the brain’s calming signal (GABA), its loss can leave you feeling restless, wired, or anxious, sometimes even before your periods change.
Later, as oestrogen starts swinging and then declines, serotonin and dopamine (your mood and motivation messengers) are also affected. Anxiety can also sometimes come after/during a hot flush.
You’re not “just stressed”, your hormones are shifting.
And there are things that can help calm our nervous system.
🚶🏻♀️➡️Move your body daily (even a short walk)
🧘🏻♀️Breathwork (eg in for 2, out for 4), yoga, listen to music, explore Nature
🥑 Include protein + healthy fats + slow carbs to keep blood sugar steady
😴 Prioritise sleep and take regular calming breaks whenever possible
🗣️ Talk about it - you’re not alone, and sharing connects us
👯 Find support: friends, GP, menopause coach, therapy
❤️ Anxiety in perimenopause and menopause is common, real, and treatable, even if it’s not talked about much. You do not have to face it alone.
