Early closure for Te Puna o Whakaehu today

Unfortunately Te Puna o Whakaehu will be closing at 4pm today due to low staffing. Fortunately this is a rarity, but we do apologise for the inconvenience to our customers. At this stage we are all set to open as usual tomorrow morning.

04/08/2026

Due to the forecast overnight temperatures and the likelihood of icy road conditions, Moana Pool and Te Puna o Whakaehu will have a delayed opening tomorrow morning (Wednesday, 5 August).

We will open at 10am, allowing time for road conditions to be assessed and to help ensure the safety of our staff and customers travelling to the pools.

Please keep an eye on our page tomorrow morning for any further updates if conditions change.

Thank you for your understanding.
