⛹️‍♀️ U14 GIRLS PRESEASON ⛹️‍♀️
All smiles from our recent trip to Gore for the U14 Girls preseason tournament. A big thank you to Eastern Southland Basketball Association for hosting us!

Our U14 Girls Blue team went undefeated in the A grade, U14 Girls Yellow finished with a record of 3-1 in the B grade and our U14 Girls White team showed some excellent progress throughout the tournament.

A shoutout to our players, coaches, managers, officials and whānau who make this all possible!

It all comes down to this.

After an exciting season of Secondary Schools Basketball, four A Grade champions will be crowned as our Junior and Senior competitions hit the court for Finals Day!

Bring your school colours, bring your mates and get behind your teams as they battle for the title.

There’s nothing quite like Finals basketball — we’ll see you courtside!

A gentle reminder to all players, coaches and spectators that as school and club basketball heads into playoff season, the intensity of our games will naturally go up - but so should our respect.

Our referees are there to help make the game happen and Basketball Otago has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, intimidation or unacceptable behaviour towards officials.

Passion and opinions are part of the game - abuse and disrespect are not. Compete hard and respect the officials, respect your opponents and respect the game.

Because at the end of the day… NO REF, NO GAME.

⛹️‍♀️ GIRLS GOT GAME IS HERE! 🏀
Calling all girls in Years 5–8 who want to improve their skills or simply have fun in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Girls Got Game is a five-week programme designed to encourage more girls to get involved in basketball, build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy being active alongside other girls their age. No matter your experience level, everyone is welcome!

Dates: Sunday 16 August – Sunday 20 September
Duration: 5-week programme
Time: 9:00am – 10:00am
Venue: Edgar Centre
Cost: $50 for the full 5 weeks
