Pre-season training: Hard ball - section 1, 2 & 3 players
We encourage all hard ball cricketers to come along to the pre-season training sessions.
Session 1: Sunday 6 September 10am-12pm Kings High School cricket nets
Session 2: TBC

Welcome back to the 2026/2027 cricket season!

Registrations officially open tomorrow 1 September. The link for registrations will be posted here tomorrow morning. Please carefully read the following information regarding registrations:

- Albion registrations will close on 25 September, for sections 1,2,3 and 4 and the 18th of October for sections 5 and 6. Please register your child ASAP. This will help allow us time to place children in teams, find coaches, communicate with families and begin trainings before the season begins.

- Teams may change. It is important that children are placed in the appropriate team and section so as they may grow and develop in the right environment.

Important dates
1 September: Registrations open
25 September, and 18 October : Registrations close.
Sunday 11 October 2pm: Albion Junior Cricket Club Open afternoon
16th/17th October: Season starts (section 1, 2, 3 & 4)
23/24 October - Labour Weekend: No games
30th/31st October: Season starts (section 5 & 6)
29th/30th January first game for 2027

We hope you have enjoyed all of your winter sports - it is hard to believe that we are now starting to think about and plan for the cricket season! Here are a few things to note as we prepare for the season:

- Registrations for the cricket season will open on the 1 September. Keep a look out on this page for all of the details.

- We are planning to put through an early order for hoodies. Keep a look out here for details which will follow shortly.

⭐️ Congratulations to our section 1, 2 & 3 award winners as well as our club award winners. Huge growth with both the bat and the ball. Superb wicket keeping and fielding. Stunning leadership. We are truly proud to watch you growing and shining ⭐️

⭐️ Congratulations to all of our section 4, 5 & 6 award winners. A huge well done for your accomplishments with the bat and ball, your work on the field & also your team work and leadership. We are so proud of each and every one of you ⭐️

Firstly - a huge thank you for being part of Albion Junior Cricket Club in the 2025/2026 cricket season!
🏏 To the players, we hope you grew in your love for the game, grew your skills & made some awesome friends.
🏏 To the mums & dads & all of our trusty supporters, thank you for helping your child get to trainings and games, the practices in the back yard and the Sunday mornings spent scrubbing cricket whites! 🏏 To the coaches and managers, quite simply - you have had a huge impact on all of your teams and the Albion community. Thank you for the hours you have dedicated to Albion & to the heart at which you’ve taken on your role.
⭐️ Our junior prize-giving was a real celebration of all of the amazing children & adults in our club. We felt so proud of you all. Thank you to everyone who helped on the night with bbqs, buttering bread & tidying up. Thanks to the senior club who helped us get sorted with food, opened the club - and our club president, Michael Sumner who ran the bar ⭐️
Enjoy your winter season sports & we look forward to seeing you back in summer.

Thank you to families who returned their playing tops at Prize giving last week. We still need to arrange for about 25 playing tops to be returned. We’d love to get these all back so that we can start next season a fresh. Please PM this page ASAP if you have not returned your top & we are happy to arrange to collect these over the next few days (from your mailbox). Thanks for your support with this.

Reminder: This Wednesday night is our junior prizegiving.

Important information:
- Please bring your child's washed playing top. Give this to your child's coach or manager.
- 5pm start for sections 4, 5 & 6
- 6pm BBQ for ALL children from ALL sections
- 6:30pm start for sections 1, 2 & 3

The weather looks great for Wednesday so we hope the kids can have a run around and the parents can relax and enjoy being together. The bar will be open.
