It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Golf Otago Life Member Bill Trewern.

Bill played a huge role in shaping golf in Otago.

He was a selector and manager for both the Junior Boys and Senior Men’s team. In 2015 the Junior boys team won the Junior Interprovincial under Bills management.

In 2016 Bill was awarded the Service to Sport award at the Otago Sports award.

He also became a life member of Golf Otago in 2016.

Bills influence on golfers in Otago spans through many generations and he will be remembered and missed by many.

Golf Otago would like to acknowledge the tragic passing of Sean Roach, who passed away on Sunday.

Sean made his debut for Otago in 2006, becoming the 86th player to represent Otago at the Interprovincials. In 2007, he retained his position in the team and in 2008, he was named at number 1 for Otago. After this, Sean took his golfing talents to the Bay of Plenty.

R.I.P Sean.
