Let the knockouts commence... the draw for tomorrow's Round of 16 is set. Rankin Cup to the left, India Shield the right, there are some bumper ties in here, particularly in Rankin Cup, with no fewer than three local derbies 🤯

A huge day for our Otago schools at tournament week, with some big results across the country.

👏 St Hilda’s 1st XI have booked their place in the Marie Fry Trophy Round of 16 after a strong result in Whangārei.

🔵 And a massive congratulations to John McGlashan 1st XI, who have qualified for the Rankin Cup knockout stages! They’re straight into the Round of 16 tomorrow morning with a huge 10:30am clash against Tauranga Boys’ College.

📣 If you’re in Dunedin, get along to the turf and get behind the JMC boys — local support would be awesome!

We roll into some serious knockout hockey tomorrow, while the Tier 3 and Tier 4 group stages wrap up. Plenty still to play for.

We are on for another huge day of hockey tomorrow, as the knockout phases begin to take shape.

Otago Boys have a huge game at 10:00am against Palmerston North Boys, so it would be great to get some support in behind them!

TOURNAMENT WEEK IS HERE 🏑🔥

Day One gets underway tomorrow, with our Otago schools hitting the road across the country for Tournament Week.

There are some big fixtures on the card 👀

🔵 Rankin Cup & India Shield – Dunedin
John McGlashan 1st XI take on Rotorua Boys at 10:00am before facing New Plymouth Boys at 5:30pm, while Otago Boys 1st XI host St Kentigern’s at 1:00pm. Get along and support the boys on home turf!

🟡 Kate Trolove Cup – Nelson
South Otago High School take on Fiordland College at 1:30pm, before Taieri College face Northern Southland College at 3:00pm. One to keep a close eye on 👀

⚫ Federation Cup & Marie Fry – Whangārei
St Hilda’s 1st XI open their tournament against Auckland Dio at 8:00am before taking on Iona College at 4:00pm.

🟢 Jenny Macdonald Cup – Blenheim
Logan Park 1st XI face Cromwell College at 10:30am, while St Hilda’s 2nd XI meet St Kevin’s at 11:00am.

🔴 Coaches Cup – Greymouth
John McGlashan 2nd XI take on Kaiapoi High at 2:20pm, followed by Otago Boys 2nd XI against Te Arahura College at 5:00pm.

Congratulations to all players selected — a fantastic achievement and recognition of your commitment and performances throughout the season. 👏

We’d also like to acknowledge our Year 10 players who have shown great commitment and strong performances but, due to Hockey New Zealand age eligibility requirements, were not eligible for National Tournament selection.
