🥎 **ONLINE COACHING DEVELOPMENT – STAGE 1** 🥎

We encourage all current and aspiring Cardinals coaches to complete Softball New Zealand’s online **Stage 1 Coaching Module**.

The module:

✅ Takes approximately 30 minutes
✅ Earns your first 10 coaching credits
✅ Includes videos featuring White Sox players
✅ Provides a certificate upon completion
✅ Keeps you informed when the next coaching session becomes available

Please note that the module needs to be completed in **one sitting**, so make sure you have around 30 minutes available before starting.

Whether you’re an experienced coach or considering coaching for the first time, this is a great opportunity to build your knowledge and support the development of our Cardinals players.

Ever wondered what it feels like to swing for the fences, make a great catch or fire the ball across the diamond? Now’s your chance!

The Cardinals are hosting a fun and welcoming **Have a Go Day**, and everyone is invited!

📅 **20 September** 10am - 1pm

Location: Sunnyvale Sports Centre

Whether you’re completely new to softball, returning after some time away or simply looking for a fun sport to try, we’d love to see you there.

✅ All ages welcome
✅ No experience needed
✅ Meet our players, coaches and club members
✅ Try batting, throwing, catching and other softball activities
✅ Bring your friends and family along

There’s no pressure and no expectation—just come along, have some fun and discover what being part of the Cardinals is all about.

🥎 **2026/27 SEASON FEES & PAYMENT INFORMATION** 🥎

Season fees can be paid directly into the Cardinals Softball Club bank account. Please use:
Account: 03-0905-0189338-000
Reference: Player’s name

Fees are due **before or immediately after the season begins**. Invoices will be issued for all unpaid fees after **3 October 2026**.

We understand that families may occasionally need additional time. With prior communication, payment arrangements can be made with the Club Treasurer to delay payment until the **pre-Christmas season finish**.

We appreciate everyone keeping their fees up to date and communicating with the club early if an arrangement is required.

This form is available for complaints relating to softball matters both on and off the diamond.

You may use this form if you are a member of the Cardinals Softball Club or wish to raise a concern about the conduct of a Cardinals member.

Complaints involving Cardinals members will be reviewed by the Club Committee. Where a matter involves individuals or organisations outside the Cardinals, or requires formal escalation, we may seek assistance from the Otago Softball Association. The Club can present the matter on your behalf and help coordinate the appropriate discussions and procedures.

We understand that anyone raising a complaint will want the matter addressed promptly. However, as a member of the Otago Softball Association, the Cardinals must consider complaints in accordance with the Association’s Constitution, policies and applicable procedures. This may mean that some matters take time to investigate and resolve. We will communicate with you as the complaint progresses wherever possible.

All information submitted through this form will be treated sensitively and kept as confidential as reasonably possible. Information will only be shared with those who need it to assess, investigate or respond to the complaint.

If the matter is escalated or a formal process requires the complainant to be identified, we will contact you before providing your name or personal details wherever practicable.

A successful softball club takes more than the players on the diamond—it takes a strong group of volunteers working together behind the scenes.

We’re still looking for Cardinals willing to step up and support the club in the following areas:

🥎 Committee Treasurer
🥎 Two available committee positions
🥎 Coaches and managers
🥎 Fundraising
🥎 Umpiring
🥎 Canteen duties

Whether you can take on a regular role or simply lend a hand when available, every contribution helps keep our club running and gives our players the best possible softball experience.

You don’t need to have all the answers or years of experience—just a willingness to get involved. Support and guidance will be available.
