For 134 years, we at Taieri Tennis Club have made it our mission to create the ideal environment for tennis lovers. We cater to both the tennis-obsessed and to more casual players who enjoy our full range of family-friendly programmes. Our historic club is located beside the picturesque Brooklands Park in Mosgiel, and features 4 outdoor courts. We are close enough to the Dunedin bustle to be convenient, but removed enough to give a sense of sanctuary.

Our Bingo Night fundraiser was a great success! So grateful to Joy, Mike, all the volunteers, all the bingo players, all the sponsors (see earlier post for the list - and please support these businesses!), and our hosts at the Bowling club 🤩

🎾Introducing Our New President - Mike Carter🎾
For those who don't know me, I have captained the Division 2 Men’s Team for the past two years and have also served on the TTC Committee. I live locally in Mosgiel with my fiancée Renee and our two incredible girls. Professionally, I am a Project Manager, working in and leading teams within the local civil construction industry.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know more of our members and, of course, seeing everyone out on the courts throughout the season.
If you have any ideas, suggestions or concerns about the club, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
The committee and I are committed to continuing the great work already underway, while focusing on growing our club, strengthening participation, and creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and enjoys being part of our tennis community. ❤️🎾

🎉 President's Award Recipient 2026 – Joy Horrell 🏆
We are incredibly proud to announce that Joy Horrell has been awarded our '2026 President's Award' – the most prestigious honour at our club.
Over the past seven years, Joy has become an invaluable part of our tennis community. Originally from Southland, she discovered her love of tennis at school, representing her region as a teenager. After many years farming sheep and beef alongside her husband Pete, they made the move to Mosgiel to enjoy the good life—and we're certainly grateful that tennis was part of that plan!
Joy leads our Tuesday Senior Tennis group, is a dedicated committee member, and generously gives countless hours to fundraising and promoting our club throughout the local community. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to help make a real difference to everyone around her.
Most of all, Joy's smile and 'joie de vivre' are truly contagious, making our club a happier and more welcoming place for everyone.
Thank you, Joy, for your outstanding dedication, generosity, and commitment to our club. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the Taieri Tennis Club family.
