Softball New Zealand is looking for someone creative, proactive and full of ideas to help bring our game to life.

We’re not looking for someone to simply wait for content to land in their inbox. We want someone who will find the stories, create the content and make things happen. Someone prepared to have a little fun, try new things and occasionally push the boundaries of what you might expect from a national sporting organisation.

The role is flexible and part-time, with hours increasing during the busiest part of our domestic season. Attendance will also be required at selected Softball NZ tournaments and events.

Softball experience is preferred, but not essential. Creativity, personality, initiative and a willingness to get amongst our community matter just as much as what’s on your CV.

Softball Umpire rules test for anyone who's keen to check their knowledge.

The Annual Rules Test for the 26/27 Season is now open. This test is open for all whether you are an umpire, player, scorer, manager, coach, or spectator. We encourage you to sit this exam to test your knowledge. The exam is based off the new SNZ 2026-2029 rulebook. Any umpires wanting to attend national tournaments or are being assessed in the coming season this exam is a requirement. Links to exams ⬇️
