Otago vs Southland!

Tonight we had a great Otago vs Southland shoot! A huge well done to all the shooters who took part — there were some fantastic scores put up tonight!

Great shooting from everyone and awesome to see some friendly competition between the two regions.

Also big mention to the markers,target changes, range offers, people in the kitchen

Well done to Cam, who shot a new season PB of 200.13 at tonight’s NDC Semi Finals, finishing with an overall score of 298.19

Yesterday, East Otago was proud to host the Otago Secondary Schools Competition, with 34 competitors taking part from schools across the region. It was also great to have the Oamaru teams involved, shooting the competition as a postal match.

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, and we were thrilled to welcome Taieri College back after a couple of years without a team. To top it all off, congratulations to Taieri College on taking out the overall win—a well-deserved result! It’s great to see the team back and performing so well.

🏅 Top Marksman: Aidan (Otago Boys’ High School) – 191.9
🏅 Top Markswoman: Fiona (Waitaki Girls’ High School) – 188.8

A huge thank you to all 34 competitors, along with the coaches, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the night a success. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the range next year!

What a great night at the king’s high school Open Night! 🎯

It was awesome to be back at King’s promoting the sport we love. Cam, a King’s High old boy, former Team Captain, and now coach, joined Liam the current team captain to showcase smallbore target shooting and chat with students and their families.

It was great meeting so many people, answering questions, and seeing the interest in our sport. Thanks to everyone who came over and had a chat with us.

We hope to see plenty of new faces down at the range in the future. If you’ve ever thought about giving target shooting a go, we’d love to have you join us!
