Dannevirke Junior Cricket 2026 season kicks off soon. We invite all Primary School kids year 4 and up who might be keen to give Saturday cricket a go (as well as those returning) to come on down to the domain (Wai Splash entrance) from 5pm on Thursday the 12th for our first training and get together of the year!

The club has some excited new coaches to get underway, as well as the chance to be selected for the 2027 Hawkes Bay cricket camp team.

DSC JCC would like to thank the Monty Fairbrother Trust for the amazing contribution towards our new team gear. This generosity is so greatly appreciated and the gear we have been able to purchase will be used to help the young cricketers in our community be the best that they can be. Without amazing Trusts in our community doing great work we would all be worse off.

Smash Cricket is back in Dannevirke on Thursdays too! We love this innovative way to play our awesome game, it’s fun, inclusive, fast and a great way to learn the game. Reach out to us or MCA if you have any questions or are unsure about anything!

And just like that Term 1’s cricket season is upon us! DSC JCC welcomes back all returning and new junior cricketers for the 2025 season! First games are on the 15th of February.

Any Y9/10 students are also invited to reach out to the club if they are interested in playing in the new Y9/10 club competition on Friday nights (first round being the 14th of Feb). Logistics of this league are still being ironed out but if there are kids keen to play then the club will do its best to facilitate it.
