New Zealand Classic Motorcycle Racing Register (NZCMRR) this past weekend has been full of ups and downs

Friday practice was focused on primarily getting our suspension settings sorted and getting comfortable with the bike, also trying different compound tyres and overall just testing! ✅

Going into Saturday i was unsure on how fast the rest of the field were so i had in my head a top 10 would be awesome, Qualifying i went out following the legend himself Eddie Kattenberg who quickly set the pace, I knew if i could at least stay somewhat close to him id get a good result. Qualifying ended in P3! I was over the moon🔥👌

Race 1 I was feeling alot more confident in myself knowing i have what it takes to get a good result. I had a mega start getting the holeshot and leading my first ever Post Classic F2 race for half a lap before getting nipped by Eddie and Nathan Jane which they then started pulling a decent gap and i knew i was safe where i was so i settled for third until Nathan had a mechanical causing me to finish my first ever Post Classic F2 race in second place!!!🥈💪 I never expected to get such a result going into this weekend it was awesome to see i have the pace to be at the front

Race 2 (Trophy Race) started off poorly coming out of turn one in 8th place I quickly knew i had the pace to be at the front but it was all about getting to the front so i put my head down and lap by lap picked a few of the riders off getting into 4th place by the last lap, i then pushed really hard and coming out of higgins i managed to sneak in the inside and take third place overall🥉 second pre 95 🥈

Sunday I was feeling really motivated after such a performance the day before, we went out and lined up on the grid then lights out and the bike was bogging heavily and i struggled to get it going i was pushed back to 10th and had to work very hard to secure a respectable 6th place finish.

After that race i told the crew what was happening and they quickly got to work to try and figure out the problem, then….. we found it had dropped another vlave guide so we had to call it.❌

Overall I need to take away the positives from the weekend it was such a awesome experience and a cool festival to be apart of, to think I went into the weekend hoping for top 10 to then get 2 podiums was absolutely awesome i can’t thank everyone around me enough for the continued support and help whether its big or small✅🔥

Cemetery Circuit 🔥

Boxing day started off bright and early for a big days racing and bike and gear check ✅

Practice was at 7.30am where i was getting a grips with the track and trying to get a good feel for the bike as we had made significant suspension adjustments making the bike feel a whole lot different than usual (in a better way). I was third in practice in class.

Qualifying went great i managed to get one good flying lap in which put me 13th on the grid and P2 in class

Race one started off really well jumping into P8 going into the first corner P2 in class having awesome battles every lap until lap 5 where i had a bit of a lye down at toyota corner. Luckily there wasnt any major damage and Sav and Pop were able to get the bike sorted for the next race 👌

Race 2 was again another awesome race where cloudy conditions made tyre choice important but also difficult, i ended up going out on slick tyres as it was a dry track still. Two laps into the race it started to rain and the track quickly got damp making race pace very slow it was a matter of staying on the bike and finishing the race without loosing any points. Ended the race P6 (P2 in class)

I definitely enjoyed it alot on the Ducati it was loads of fun and i was happy to walk away with P3 in the championship which im stoked with for my rookie season on the bike🤩

All eyes are on the Classics Festival now at Manfeild Jan 31st - Feb 1st, I will be racing in the pre 95 F2 class making for some great racing🤙

Another successful weekend Manfeild for the Cemetery Circuit suzuki series RND ✌️

Saturday started off really well for me going straight into the 1.18s in practice consistently which was what i was doing at a track day at manfeild not long ago, making me sit in P2 for practice.

Qualifying I was feeling really confident and the track conditions could not have been better, I ended up topping the qualifying charts with a 1.16.141 …. I was stoked🔥

Race 1 started off well and i soon got into a rhythm and ended the race in P3 setting another PB of 1.15.9

Race two was much the same i was getting really confident in my tyre grip and having awesome battles with Eddie Kattenberg and a couple other riders again setting a PB which is now my current best lap at manfeild of a 1.15.1🙌

Race 3 we had made some significant suspension changes which didn’t work in my favour and i was struggling the whole race not doing the pace i had previously been doing, also having lost the rev counter midway through didn’t help, after a unfortunate mechanical for another rider i managed to snag a P2👌

Overall finishing the weekend P2 in the championship standings going into the final round on the streets of Wanganui in 10 days time where i will hope to have some success🤩
